Guild Contract Quests
Iron & Blood (Fighters Guild)
Quest Giver: Vilkas Iron-Blood
Premise: Vilkas has a contract for a "Skilled Augmented Adventurer" who went rogue. He's been raiding supply lines in the outskirts, leaving no survivors.
The Path: Track the warrior to a cave in the foothills. The rogue is actually a former soldier from Vilkas's old unit, suffering from a malfunctioning soul stone that makes him see "Maliki's constructs" everywhere -- including the party.
Conflict: The rogue recognizes The General as the "Demon of the Gear Icon" (his wartime nickname) and enters a frenzy. The party must kill him or find the Druid to fix his mind through dangerous magical surgery.
Characters: Vilkas Iron-Blood, Sergeant Valerius (The Rogue), The Druid.
Tie-in: Highlights the war crimes The General committed under Maliki's control. Exposes Vilkas's guilt over abandoning his men.
Reward: Guild Mark of Valor and a Master-Crafted Greatsword (Vuitton Leather Grip).
The Siphon's Leak (Mages Guild)
Quest Giver: Hannibal Traven
Premise: Traven reports magical instability near the Alchemist's Guild. Spells are failing or producing "wild" effects (furniture turning to flesh).
The Path: Follow a trail of "oily mana" into the sewers. Find one of Silas's siphons cracking, leaking pure necromantic energy into the water supply. Fight "Wild Mana Oozes" and navigate a shifting, magically-altered sewer tunnel.
Complication: The siphons are guarded by Ratfolk Mages who believe the energy is a gift from the "Ghost Don." They view the Mages Guild as "Energy Thieves."
Characters: Hannibal Traven, Zora (Alchemist), Silas's siphoner crew.
Tie-in: This energy is a direct feed from the Gear Icon. Closing the leak alerts Maliki's "cleanup" constructs to the party's location.
Reward: Wand of Mana Suppression and Traven's personal favor (free spell identification).
The Silver Suture (Engineers Guild)
Quest Giver: Brom Goldfinger
Premise: The crack in the Great Well Plaza is widening. Brom needs a team to descend and reinforce the foundations with enchanted iron.
The Path: Descent into the fissure. Encounter "Subterranean Scrappers." Discover the foundation is actually built upon the massive, slumbering engine of the old Gnomish Kingdom. Perform a rhythmic mini-game to "weld" the crack without triggering the engine's auto-defenses.
Discovery: Bippy's crew is down here using Engineer-grade drills to harvest parts from the slumbering city engine. One of the parts is a "Mercury Lens."
Characters: Brom Goldfinger, Bippy's Foreman, the Gnomish Engine Heart.
Tie-in: Connects Bippy's robberies to the literal structural failure of the city. Hints at Bilfur's fate within the engine.
Reward: Engineer's Solder-Torch and a Silver Suture Spike (Javelin of Lightning).
The Artisan's Ore (Crafting Guild)
Quest Giver: Mella Iron-Weaver
Premise: Mella needs rare "Dragon-Glass" found only in the Eastern mountain ranges near the Dragonborne city to finish a "True Soul" project.
The Path: Travel quest into dangerous mountains. Negotiate with a Dragonborne tribe (Elder Rykar's kin) or brave a nest of wyverns to mine glass from a crystal cave. The cave is filled with "Mirror Shades" that copy player abilities.
Tie-in: The glass is actually crystallized dragon-fire from Glaurung's era. It reacts violently to The General's heart, causing "Burn Surges" (extra fire damage on attacks, but deals damage to him). Mella intends to use the glass to bypass Louis Vuitton's leather market entirely. Also reveals the Dragonborne's reverence for the glass.
Characters: Mella, Rykar's scouts, Mirror Shades.
Reward: Dragon-Glass Adornment (+1 AC vs Fire) and Mella's Crafting Services.
