Sessions 1-2: The Sentence

Location: Consul's Landing - Mid-Levels / Engineers Guild

Events

  • Judgement: Heinrich and Splinter were sentenced to mandated labor at the Engineers Guild by Mella Goldfinger.
  • The Switch: To avoid the drudgery, the pair outsourced their cleaning duties to a Dust-Skulker Goblin provided by Big Boss.
  • Sentry Duty: Parallax, stationed at the guild, witnessed Fixer Jax (a Ratfolk imposter) siphoning high-tensile wire and scrap metal. Parallax observed Jax using a secret pipe-entrance to move stolen goods.

Session 3: The Unmasking

Location: The Warrens / Undercity Tunnels

Events

  • The Magic of the Blade: Heinrich cast Detect Magic on the Ruby Dagger held by Tibbald. The blade pulsed with an ancient, high-frequency Dwarven enchantment.
  • Internal Strife: Splinter attempted to attack Tibbald to reclaim the dagger. The attack failed, but trust within the party has been severely fractured.
  • Breaking Incognito: Faced with escalating tension, Parallax dropped his "mindless machine" act and spoke for the first time, revealing his true sentience to the entire group.
  • Combat - The Wolves & Tokens: The party was ambushed by 2 Syndicate Wolves and 4 "Scrapper Tokens" (Construct Goblins). The constructs were confirmed to be made from stolen Guild wire and scrap. Splinter took a trophy from a mechanical skull.
  • The Poisoned Land: The Druid used his connection to nature to speak with the plants outside the city. He learned that "Burning Roots" are spreading -- the Foundry's runoff is poisoning the local ecosystem.
  • The Tracker: The group looted a tracking bracelet inscribed with a "K" from the wolves.

Active Quest Hooks

  1. The Foundry's Breath: Follow the trail of "Burning Roots" and toxic runoff to find the source of the pollution in the pipes.
  2. Bloodline of the Blade: Investigate the Dwarven bloodline associated with the Ruby Dagger's ancient enchantment. Tibbald knows who the last owner was before it was stolen.
  3. The Symbiosis Crisis: Manage the "Cavern-Blind Trout" trade. If the fish die or the trade fails, Fred's people lose their livelihood and the Goblins go hungry.
  4. The Labor Fraud Clock: Ensure the Goblin cleaning the Engineers Guild isn't discovered by Mella Goldfinger or exposed by Silas "The Snout."
